"My name is Lucas and I’m Regional HR Manager for the Americas. I’ve been working at BENTELER for seven years and have gained a lot of valuable experience during this time. I started in the Safety, Health and Human Resources department at the plant, and today I’m responsible for HR Business Service. My daily goal is to constantly improve our HR processes and keep them up to date. 

In recent years particularly, BENTELER has made a strong commitment to the quality of life of its employees with the “Well Being” program. Every year, we create a social calendar that helps us maintain a healthy work-life balance. We take part in runs, organize lectures and address health and environmental issues. Birthday parties and business partnerships are also part of this. 

What makes me particularly proud is the opportunity to volunteer with BENTELER Volunteers. We organize clothing donations, collect food and Christmas toys, and much more to help people in need. Once a week, I also take part in the “Caravana do Amor” in Jundiaí, where we distribute food to the homeless. I find this work very fulfilling because it allows me to make a direct contribution to helping others. 

At BENTELER, I have the opportunity to do what I enjoy most in life: taking care of people and building relationships."

"Positive thinking is my personal superpower! I’ve been part of the HR team  at BENTELER in the USA for just over three years. In this time, I've come to understand that our motto #wemakeithappen is to be taken quite literally.

When I look at what we have achieved together in the past twelve months alone, I’m truly impressed. For example, we really wanted to create new momentum for cross-team collaboration. We initiated and implemented the necessary processes faster than I’ve ever seen in any other company.

And when obstacles got in the way? My superpower helped keep me going. Combined with my BENTELER colleagues’ general enthusiasm for implementation and design, it was unbeatable. 

With so much action at work, I take it easy in my private life. Cooking is the best way for me to relax. Whether it's Italian food, seafood or vegetarian dishes, I like to try out new recipes from the intranet.

I also love spending time with my cat Astraea, whom I rescued about three years ago. She’s a real relaxer and I can still learn a lot from her. It’s clear that she probably wouldn’t be too happy at BENTELER ;-)"
